Thoughts on God

Did God command light into being because he couldn’t see in the dark?

I imagine God opened the door to the Universe and found a small, dark closet. Empty. Void. Hollow. I imagine he saw pretty much the same thing when he turned on the light. Still empty, but now with light! So he filled his empty space with fun knick-knacks and amusing distractions. Well, that’s what I would do if I were God and had an empty closet Universe. Or maybe I’d hang coats in it…not sure. Maybe I’d hide there from my parents. Huddled in lighted corners awaiting my chance for salvation…for release. Of course, that would mean I was a human and not God, so I guess we’re back to where we started.

Unless…God had parents. He’d have to right? I mean, where else would he have a closet? Exactly. In his bedroom at his parents’ house.

About Universal Shift

I am the Sonata Unusual. I coat myself with some obtuse angle too far below zero to become any warmer. I create motivation, activate schemas, moisten gardens with scents of natural honeydew. Construct this meaning, you sleepy flock. Silence your singing—despairing contortions out of tune. Shatter the brittle butterfly glass with your hideous wailing. I am born of my god’s imagination. When I die I shall meet him. For there are many things to discuss over tea…or scotch.
